Getting the right video URL
Facebook URLs can be tricky. Use "Copy link" from the three-dot menu on the video post, not the address bar URL β the address bar may include feed context that fails to resolve properly.
Downloading Facebook Watch content
Videos from the Watch tab work the same way. Navigate to the video, copy the link from the menu, and paste it into Videolyti.
Group video downloads
Only videos from PUBLIC groups work. Private and closed group content requires authentication we do not provide for privacy reasons.
Facebook Reels vs regular posts
Both work identically in Videolyti. Reels use a different URL format but we handle the difference automatically behind the scenes.

Common Issues & Fixes
Unable to extract video
Facebook changes its video delivery system frequently. If a specific video fails, try again later β we update our extraction methods regularly to keep up.
Login wall blocking download
Facebook sometimes shows login prompts to outside requests. Videolyti processes URLs server-side and bypasses this in most cases. If it still fails, try copying the URL from a browser where you are logged in.
Private group video will not download
Only public group content is accessible. Private and closed groups require authentication we do not provide, for privacy reasons.
Facebook Reels URL not recognized
Reels have a specific URL format. Make sure you are copying the actual Reel link from the three-dot menu, not a search result or feed URL.
Video downloaded without sound
This is a rare issue with Facebook split audio/video delivery. Re-downloading usually fixes it. If sound is still missing, the original post may have been uploaded without audio.
